REDI: The Digital Manifesto - 1st Floor - Show and Share

12:05–13:0055 min

AI isn't the foundation. But it depends on one.

Building for an Intelligent Future menas that AI, automation and smart services are transforming what buildings can do. But first, we need the infrastructure to make it all work.

This shared framework is what Proptech Norway is trying to build through REDI (Real Estate Digitalization Initiative).

From indoor connectivity and cybersecurity to open standards, data ownership and interoperability, this session explores the digital foundations of buildings that are secure, connected and ready for what comes next.

Agenda

  1. 12:05–12:15

A Shared Framework for Smarter Buildings

Lasse Henrichsen introduces the Digital Manifesto: a shared commitment to open standards, interoperability, security, data ownership and freedom from vendor lock-in.

Because the real question isn't which technology we choose today. It's whether we'll still have the freedom to choose tomorrow.

  2. 12:15–12:35

Indoor Connectivity: Can You Hear Me Now?

The most important technology in the building is often the one nobody notices.

First, HPE and Life@Work ask whether we need 4G/5G everywhere - or whether modern WiFi and OpenRoaming can cover more of the need, at lower cost and with less technology lock-in.

Then, Proptivity and Ericsson explain that sensors, automation and smart services mean little if connectivity fails. Neutral-host infrastructure can deliver robust indoor 4G/5G without parallel operator networks.

  3. 12:35–12:45

Cybersecurity: Who’s in control when the building becomes connected?

As buildings become more connected, cyber risk becomes operational risk.

What is an acceptable level of security in a modern building — and how does the owner know they have it? Entra, Intility and Defendable present the REDI Practical Cybersecurity Guide, turning that question into a practical framework for real estate.

  4. 12:45–13:00

Panel: Setting the Standard for Digital Buildings

Before intelligent services comes basic structure.

How do owners build a digital foundation that lowers switching costs, reduces duplicate work and makes new services easier to buy, deploy and scale? Entra, Smedvig, Bane NOR and UiO compare what they have learned about standards, procurement, data ownership and vendor lock-in.
